Dan Herrington

Head of Brand, Digital + Creative

Dan resides locally to Genuine Solutions and lives with his two boys, his partner Zoe and handsome rescue hound Deano. Dan is avid Arsenal supporter and sneaker head who purchases far too many pairs of trainers!

With over 20 years’ experience across brand, digital and creative design, Dan has built up a range of skills that have allowed him to work in collaboration with a variety of global brands, ambitious SMEs and start-ups alike.

Dan’s career in design began shortly after completing his HND in Graphic Design where he joined URS Corporation (AECOM) – a global leader in engineering, design, and construction and a U.S. federal government contractor. Dan initially started out as a Technical Illustrator, but keen to progress undertook a variety of courses to finesse and enhance his skills leading him to take up the role of Head of Design.

Dan’s ambition coupled with his positive and proactive attitude led to him starting his own design studio, where he was fortunate enough to secure projects on behalf of a third party for the likes of Burberry, ITV, McDonalds and Harvey Nichols.

When his children came along, he wanted to embrace parenthood and enjoy spending as much time with his boys as possible. Realising the exceptionally long hours he was working to run the studio he decided to call it a day and look for a role that was more fitting to both his personal and professional aspirations – this is when he became part of the family at Genuine Solutions.

Dan’s has been with Genuine Solutions now for the last decade and demonstrates being a loyal, supportive and dedicated individual who can lead a small but enterprising team but equally, able to work collaboratively with a management team delivering the creative goals underpinning new business strategies.

Although Dan’s background and strengths are in Brand and Creative design, the roles he has played over the years have allowed him to broaden his skillset and expand his repertoire beyond creative into marketing management as whole. With these varied hats, Dan has been fortunate enough to play an instrumental role in bringing on board and maintaining partnerships with a number of global brands from the technology sector.

Dan can be described as a true creative with an eagle eye for the finest detail and a relentless desire for visual perfection. An addict for design who thrives on embracing a challenge, whether that is building a brand from nothing or taking an established brand to the next level.
